... scenery justice. It was in 1989 that l last visited Reutte and it was sad to say that l couldn't recall any part of the town.

We were surrounded by snow capped mountains that were approximately 2500m high. Around every corner Sophie kept saying "oh, my goodness". I suppose this is why travelling in early Spring ...

Walking up towards it, through the wooded hillside with its bare winter trees, I realised it was the first hill I had walked up in a very long time that wasn't jungly Bukit Shabandar and I was far too cold to be sweating! ... come up on your left at incredible speeds (going at least 160 km per hour). I mentally decided that the three lanes go like this; the far right lane is the fast lane, the middle one is the faster lane and the left lane is the fastest lane!

Getting to the Palace is easy. Make your way to the lake where there is ferry service to not only to Herrenchiemsee, but also to Frauenchiemsee (houses a Benedictine Nunnery) ...

Absolutely sheeting it down. I thought that a red sunset was a shepherds delight! So disappointing but there would be no fun in cycling today. It has rained most days since we arrived in Italy from Greece and we can usually do something but this is really heavy. Read a book ...
