Today, we have our shuttle to Demre where we will begin our cruise. It's about 1.5 hours from Olympos. Breakfast at Byram's is a typical Turkish breakfast with made to order omelette. There are olives, yogurt, fruit, cheese, bread. There will be 13 of us on the gulet (Turkish sail boat) cruise on the Turquoise Coast. Judy and I are the oldest by 10 years! The next oldest is a couple from NZ. He is 56 ...

Another boat trip day! Early up today, and Owen chances the new gas bottle... He was concerned he would loose his mo when lighting it, as I stood a good 5 metes back, but started fine and boiled the kettle in no time. The BBQ lunch on board was incredible, and cooked ...

... to film there, so some of the scenes were being filmed in Turkey. In fact they were shooting right here in Fethiye today and the day before with full security for a sailboat scene at the docks, the very dock we had walked onto the previous day. My mind wandered to what I would have thought seeing a short sailor with squinty eyes and pursed lips and thinking "that Turkish sailor looks remarkably like Daniel Craig ...

... to us. As we walked back to the campsite along the main path we hit a sign for the Mosaic house but the path pointed to a stream with no obvious path! We decided to make our way in through the overgrown shrubbery and got a tad lost. We eventually found it and it was amazing because it hadn’t been restored at all. We’ve seen a lot of mosaic floors but this one was all broken up. Have a look at our pictures.

    After the Mosaic house ...
