... tent (see photos – just big enough to fit a sleep bag). I get many strange looks. The norm is a camper trailer with attached tent. Most others have the huge tents that one can stand in. I am guessing that few, if any, have seen a bivy. They end up charging me about $45. This is the minimum which Lonely Planet never mentioned (vs the $20/person in the guide). So, this is the second most expensive place I have stayed. Hmmm…. But, it is a beautiful night and being outside ...

Our goal today is the northern tip of Denmark, a little port town called Frederikshavn. The drive from Germany took us through mostly farmland and much less traffic, Only 5 million people live in Denmark. It was an easy drive and we arrived at our Hostel too early to check in so decided to check out the town and ended up finding Palm Beach, because they actually have palm trees growing there, who knew? We settled in for a late lunch ...

Aprés les efforts intenses à la plage un peu de réconfort, nous sommes accueillis trés chaleureusement autour de saumons fumés maison avec leçon de préparation pour les futurs maitres d'hotel!




La table est prête ,déja une impatiente attend l'arrivée des saumons!

Malgré cette belle journée, finalement assez fatigante, nous sommes respectueux de nos nombreux lecteurs et nous mettons au travail dès notre arrivée dans la cabane!(luxueuse la cabane,pour la location, nous pouvons vous faire parvenir de nombreuses photos!!!!)

En guise de magasins de biére nous avons atterri au paradis des pêcheurs GéGé nous n'avons photographié seulement que quelques centaines de leurres sur les 5000 en magasin et on ne parlera pas des 10000 cannes à pêche et autres waders...

... at 9:20, and it is still light out. Sunset won’t be for another hour or so. As evidence, I took a picture of the sun (barely peaking through the clouds) at 8:00. See for yourself.

We are finally hitting our first port tomorrow, Copenhagen. We have a excursion for a tour of the city and then a canal cruise. We’ll take lots of pictures and report back soon!

... the weather was great, and the beaches are gorgeous. Leasoe is about an hour on a ferry from Frederikshavn, and is highly reccommended for those who want to get away from it all. If you choose accommodation close to the beach, you won't need to bring your own car as the bus on the island is free and you'll rent inexpensive bikes to get around on your own. It's a great way to vacation :)

We have dry feet again. After a four hour trip across Skagerrak, we have finally "terra firma" under our feet. Getting ready for a 9 hour drive to the Netherlands now. We'll see whether we have a sleep over on the way, or whether I am going to push it for a straight drive through.

... we have back home, near Hyde Park, costs thousands of $$$ just to hire the thing for such an occasion! Well after a great day, we decided to hit the town and let Ane show me the nightlife. So we started at a pool pub, where I must say I played a few good games of pool..and won! Yeah, ok, ok, Ane and the black ball did seem to have wacky relationship with the pockets, seeing her hit the ball straight into them on every first shot she had, but the still makes ...

... morning for that fresh wakeup call, (and that hypothermia look, blue lips, bloodshot eyes, ohh priceless! :-) Together with the water being just that tad bit chilly, and because the water was soo deep that I couldn't help but think that the lockness monster´s cousin was swimming underneath, it was a quickish ´jump, stroke, out´ fresh dip.
