Yesterday we had the briefing for my next 2 week tour, this time of Northern Slovenia and Croatia and the Italian Alps. Drove from Vienna to Sopron in Hungry to have our 20th wedding anniversary lunch of a salad roll and takeaway coffee in our warm car. On Wednesday we walked over to the train station to see how much trouble it would be to take a train to Ljubljana. The guy at the station was super friendly and helpful (as per usual it seems in Slovenia) - so I may venture off there at some point. The forecast was threatening so we had
saved up our galleries and museums for today. It was fine starting
out so we went to the bus station to get tickets for tomorrow first.
We are finding that quite a few of the bus times listed on the
internet schedules don't actually exist when you turn up so getting
tickets in advance will hopefully avoid any last minute nasty
