We stayed in the Tune for 3 nights in July, and although the rooms are tiny, they are clean, have GREAT beds and are perfectly adequate for a short stay.

Starbucks is on your doorstep as is a 7-11, what more do you want (or expect) for £6 per night.

Would I stay here again.....yes. It is what it is, providing you're not expecting the Hilton then it's just fine.

Small room with no tv and there is a charge for wifi. However on the plus side the rooms were new looking and clean, nice bathrooms with large powerful showers. Friendly helpful staff and the hotel is located in an area which offers easy access to all the tourist and shopping spots. I would stay here again as I had no complaints and it was inexpensive.

During our first month on Koh Tao island, Jody's Visa Free time in Thailand was due to expire - remember she got here at least 2 weeks before everybody else.

When you enter Thailand from any border, UK people get 30 days here visa free. Jody's free 30 days were almost up so a dash to the border was necessary to get a proper visa. Bryan …

We left The Perhentians this morning with Adam & Max and headed to Penang. The boat back to the mainland was horrific! The driver seemed to have no idea what he was doing as we almost capsized 3 times, women and children were crying, screws were loose and there were 14 people on board when the capacity was 10. Our bus to Penang was scheduled...

      Beautiful City!

So after all the travel difficulties we made it to Penang. Its a beautiful old city with its mish mash of traditional chinese, Indian and Malay cultures, customs, food all with an old world colonial type charm. Its wonderful in everyway except for the 5.30am call to prayer from the several nerby mosques and the general traffic noise all night ou...
