... we stopped in another cave for a Mayan blessing. The blessing was conducted by one of the family elders burning resin over charcoal to protect us and keep us safe after descending into the cenotes, which to the Mayans is a dwelling place of the nines gods of the underworld and the blessing also protected us against bringing any negativity with us from underworld. Leaving the cave I felt lighter and very calm as we continued on to the Mayan ruins at Tulum. Robbie again impressed ...
... and we laid down on the side walk and chatted, this is me and Kerry. The security guard finished at 7am at which point the gate was unmanned and we entered going to bed for few hours. This place really didn't like us. They knocked on our door at 9am saying we had to pay them for extra people and blah blah. Considering we had just gone to bed we weren't happy. We eventually got up and made check out right on time. We headed for the collectivo service for cancun. ...
... or to read up on the history. The small beach accessible from the ruins was packed with dozens of people wanting a swim to cool off. By 10am even the iguanas were looking for some shade, it was time for us to move on.

continued up the way to Casa Cenote, an incredible place to snorkel. The water was crystal clear and the fish life was a whole world of wonder amongst the underwater shelves and mangroves. I am loving snorkeling ...
