As we relaxed with a cup of peppermint tea in the ...

Tunisia was really wonderful although, while it is a secular Muslim country, is still outwardly very male dominated.

From Tunisia we flew on to Casablanca, Morocco where we met up with our new group. Food and hotels did not live up to Tunisia but we still were comfortable here. Haggling in Tunisia

It's funny to haggle with the Tunisians in their markets, but Tunis disappointed me a little... it's dirty, have an strange smell like a mixture of spices and sweat... there just a few places to visit and they are so careless with their highlights... but after that we visited Sidi Busaid, I recommend this place instead of Tunis because of his streets and views
About 2800 American soldiers are buried here who died during WWII. A beautiful and somber place. All this took 4 hours and could have been accomplished in about an hour and a half if you didn't ...

Bardo Museum!

... and I saw one Asian tour group as well. The museum is well worth the 6 dinar admission and 1 dinar camera usage fee. I spent quite some time studying the murals and I think they used different color stones to make each picture. This is actually more lasting than if they painted them on. I guess that's why a lot of them are a thousand or so years old and still in excellent condition. I've decided to go to El-Jem tomorrow by train and make that a day-trip. The plan is to wake ...

Fortunately a film crew was ahead of me in the line so when they were called ahead I latched on and followed. That got me inside the pillbox and I wasn't going to get pushed back out. Some amount of pleading, whimpering (not ...
