Started with another quick pack up, drive 2 hours and quick set up in Richmond. It's Chris' day, it's overcast and apparently we have been behind a huge rainstorm. We had about 2 minutes of rain where we barely had the wipers on. ... the location was lovely. We thought we would walk around town but no parking so took a ride out to Ocean Point then stopped at Sarah's Scoops to have an ice cream. Got back to the cottage to get some sunset pics and to watch the eiders head to their evening spot in a line. Clearly we are getting a little too engaged with the eiders when I say goodnight to the little family group of mom, 2 aunts and two babies that we watch every day! Puzzle ...
... at the Visitor Information center to get some maps and see where they did any whale watching tours along the coast. The guy there told us the only place he new of was Booth bay Harbor, so we continued on another 2 hours to there. We got some dinner when we finally made it to the Bay and found a place to get the internet. The place to book a whale watching tour was already closed so we drove back to the supermarket car park and called it a ...
... along the way while Captain Gerry, Admiral Sue and First Mate Jen piloted Vagabond to meet up with the guys in Rockland. The next two days were spent sailing around Penobscot Bay, anchoring out and trying to find some fresh mussels.
Tuesday, July 21 s/v Vagabond docks at the Landings Marina in Rockland for the newbies last night aboard. The crew loaded into l/y Pita for the trip to Belfast and a lobster dinner at Young's Lobster Pound.
