... this morning, so we decided to leave the windows open about a quarter inch before we headed down to the waterfall. Then we followed the trail. It wasn't a bad walk, but the falls were crowded. A lot of people from San Jose leave the city around the holidays for the Nicoya Pennisula and people take long weekends, etc. So the locals were more likely to be at the falls than on the beach...it's cooler ...

... town. So i decide the best bet is now the guy in the Corner Store - i trial my very poor Spanish and ask him the only question in my head that I can translate into Spanish "Is Montezuma here??" Apparently my pronunciation had improved substantially by this stage, his eyes widened with disbelief - "no no no no no sinorna!" Ok apparently not?
