    ... and all becomes clear. We start to see a lot of the low, spreading, untidy cashew trees beside the road. The cashews are selling for the equivalent of $A13 a kg, not that cheap for Australia, and bloody expensive here.

    Lou Reed's perfect day was being sung inside my helmet today - what a top ride on some smooth and fairly quiet coastal roads.

    ...From the way you could see through the rust holes in the floor, to the way the window nearly fell out when I opened it, everything about this bus told me it wasn't going to make it.
