I was very very sad to leave the students and they seemed sad to say goodbye to me because everyday we usually said "SEE YOU LA-TER." I am happy to see they actually learned a bit of English from me and I definitely learned a lot of Japanese from them. The last song I taught them was 5 Little Monkey's Jumping on the Bed. I didn't have time to practice it with them a lot ...

... or use gestures so I know what they mean. They are basically using the same approaches I have been using to communicate with them too :) Tomorrow will be an interesting day as well. Tomorrow all the parents, kids and teachers are having a picnic at a park. It'll be from about 9am to 2pm. I think it's cool that the school organizes time to spend with parents too *makes mental note for the future* the only not so fun thing is I have to wake up early again tomorrow.. I am super ...

WE DID: - visited Okayama-jo (the castle, nicknamed Crow Castle because of its black walls) - wandered through the stunning Korakoen (gardens) - took a train to Kurashiki where we pottered through the old merchant quarters (Bikan historical area) and enjoyed a little boat trip being punted along the tiny canal, wearing sugegasa ...
