    ... to the market where I had planned to go. But then I found a way which headed towards the greenhouse for roses. Very high roseplants, still blooming. Next time I will bring my camera and take pictures every day to see them change and become (even more) beautiful. At some point near the greenhouse you can't see the road for cars and other houses, so you'te completely surrounded by woods and fields, it feels so nice then. ...

    ... countryside give a deep appreciation of the quaint nature of the remote areas.

    This northern seaside city is surrounded by mountains and is dotted with temples, shrines, museums and markets that show a bit more slow and quiet Japanese lifestyle. It was a bit surreal pacing the near-empty streets on this Sunday afternoon. It helped me prepare for my next step - a remote mountain temple.
