... spectacular views of the hillside, river and huge boulders below...think Puffing Billy on steroids! An awesome experience! As dusk fell we headed to a quaint riverside town to witness cormorant fishing. Birds on leashes, diving for fish from ancient looking boats. The fishermen keep the large fish while the birds get the rest. Sake on the banks of the river, in the rain, with paper lanterns swaying in the breeze completed our day. This was the longest. A travel blog entry by canadiansmiley on Oct 27, 2013

The free-site was good! I slept with the fly open on the tent all night and only the mosquito ...

I could have arrived early and spent the day in Imabari but I had no rush leaving Matsuyama. It's a pretty city. The black castle on the hill. ...

... better taste. We have cycled through the sun beach -lovely sand beach surrounded by mountains, with good light you can get an amazing photographs there and enjoy the sunset.
We caught the ferry back to Onomichi, our Japanese friend left us to catch a train back to Himeji, so the three of us want to get some food. We stopped at a lovely local place, where we got a set menu with some raw fish, vegetables, rice, fish soup, tempura and dessert- all funny decorated! ...
