... ive learned like going to the rodoviara ( bus station) to by bus tickets rather through an agent or online will work out 20 aud cheaper etc. I have decided to cut the trip short though. travelling alone is expensive and ************* as i make friends, i say good bye to them in a few days... not having much.luck meeting people going my way. so ill be back on the 23rd of April! ... in a nice coffee at a beautiful green place with impressive colonial buildings around and enjoyed a great italian-style expresso. Then we walked to cidade baixa where the guide shows a high concentration of bars. But we didn't find bars but we found the faroupilla park, the biggest in the city. Just a quick note that our bus journey was suprisingly very smooth. The bus dropped us at the uruguayan customs and waited for us saving us the expected 2km walk with all our bags. Then the reservation for the onward bus worked perfectly. Our tickets were in the little box under our name as the lady has assured us over the phone! So all in all very relieved to be here in porto alegre ready for our flight ...
