... Obah Hostel). Really nice place, nice people (Vitorio is friends with the staff here). Vitorio and I caught up for a while over a couple of beers and he walked me round the neighbourhood, showing me places and where he grew up. We are apparently having a BBQ at the hostel tomorrow. Met Vitorio's friends; Catchi (sp), Juliano and his French girlfriend (can't remember her name though). In a 12 bed dorm but I think there's only one other guest as far as I can make out. ...
... but then somehow missed the boat on the food orders, meaning that when everyone got their food, we ordered.
It took forever and just before it came out we were almost ready to cancel the order and go and pig out on some ice cream or something. We would have, if we weren't so hungry. Lunch got dominated, followed by a Brazilian rendition of happy birthday and then cake! Delicious, delicious cake! I'd forgotten what good desert tasted like after ...
... a few hours, drinking and chatting, and contemplating how we were going to get home. The thought of riding home was overrun by the logic of taking a taxi. When we got back we made the most ridiculous desert. It was meant to be some kind of ice cream dish but greek yoghurt was used in the place of ice cream, cinnamon was chocolate coating, and the main part was half a slice of cake I had been given on the bus the night before that I didn't get around to eating. ...
We woke up in the morning with a lot of plans as to what we wanted to do today. The hostel supplied brekky was horrible so sam and I just cooked our own eggs. We chatted to a few people in the hostel, but then made our way out to the downtown plazas and market. I have seen a bit of this stuff before from when I was here for the world cup, but it is nice so again it didn't bother me seeing it again.

We woke up and finally checked out! We said bye to all of our friends and made our way to the bus station on the excessively slow public transport to catch our but to Porto Alegre at 12:15. When the bus finally stopped, we ran, with all of our stuff for about a kilometer to get to the ticketing office in time to buy a ticket. The bus was full. And the only one that was going to get ...
