... town and find a park so we can check it out before moving onwards. We walk around, stumble across some markets, more churches and cathedrals, parks and squares. It's really quite beautiful and each town has something cute to offer. Because of my fascination with lampposts I snap away at them as we walk around. By morning we were really itching to get out of this place. Literally and metaphorically.

We took a short walk to Villaviciosa, somewhere we took a wrong turn and ended up spending most of our walk on a narrow and winding highway. It was early enough in the morning that there weren't many vehicles, but enough semi's sped by to keep us moving quickly.

From there we took a bus to Gijón, and walked from the ...

... made the extra weight of spaghetti sauce and pasta well worth the strain on my shoulders.

We arrived to our hostel in Sobrayo, which indeed was extremely rural, just a few houses and our hostel. We were as usual, early, and so we put our packs in line and laid out on the tarp. The instructions were to get the key for the hostel from "house #7", on the way to said house, we ran into a lady walking her dog, and turns out she was ...
