I need to post my photos from the Alcazar. And I now need to post photos from the Mezquita in Cordoba. Both were awesome. Beyond words. They require pictures. But, I am too lazy to post them right now. However, I have a 3.5 hour ride to Granada tomorrow. So hopefully I will get a bit more organized during that trip and post when I arrive at the oasis... no, the hostel is actually called Oasis. :)

Hasta luego mis amigos!
Cordoba, Andalusia, Spain josiezimWe went to visit the beautiful city of Cordoba about 1.5hrs. from Sevilla. We saw the Mezquita (Mosque), The Ancient Synagogue and The Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos. I absolutely love the architecture of the buildings here in Spain, I have never seen anything like it. There is such a mix of Jewish, Islamic and Christian influences that it looks ...
Córdoba, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands aperiseeAh... One of the cities in Spain by far is Cordoba. If you are into photography, night shots of the old city of Cordoba is a must to do. The city is surrounded by a fortress. We got a room in a hotel just outside of the old city. 15 minutes walk will take you to the ...
Córdoba, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands canadiansmiley... lost my dad inside. One minute I was staring up and taking pictures of the main altar and the next minute he was gone. I had to run around the whole building one time before I finally caught up with him again. I could have spent hours in there. A lot of time is what you need in order to take it all in and be able to take pictures. I rented an audioguide, but I ended up not listening to it after a few minutes. My choice was ...
Córdoba, Andalusia, Spain spnteacherOn Thursday, June 12, we went on a day trip to Cordoba, the first capital of Al-Andalus (Muslim Spain) - a caliphate was located here from the 8th to the 12th century, at which time the Muslim capital moved to Sevilla, until it fell in 1248 and moved on to Granada, which remained capital of Al-Andalus until the Mores were finally thrown out of Spain by Ferdinand and Isabella in 1492. Cordoba, a much smaller city than Sevilla, is most famous for its Cathedral, which was ...
Córdoba, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands lar4290... sauce and fried egg. Muy bien. Took a 15 minute siesta and then Lauren and I went to a café to do some homeworkPotter and drink hot chocolate. At 8, we had an intercambio meeting, where I talked for about 45 minutes with this oldish Spanish man, Rodrigo, in English. I tried throwing in a few Spanish words, but he knew a lot of English, so that was easier. It was a good experience, though, and the other girls met some good intercambios, so ...
Córdoba, Spain anniemac7Cordoba´s a lovely town - tons of fountains, gardens, winding little cobbled streets, and, most importantly, ruins! There´s even a bit of Roman stuff, though mostly it´s rebuilt upon ancient foundations. They seem to be big into rebuilding here, so that you can get the full effect I suppose, and I don´t really approve. I´d much rather see just the ancient bits, as they were found. I guess they´re catering to tourists rather than ...
Córdoba, Spain locabe... the first round of the hockey playoffs. This has just not been a good summer in terms of sports for me. So now, I believe that I will be cheering for Spain & Argentina in the World Cup...Haha. At 6:00 pm we all had a little party hosted by the professors to commemorate the end of the workshop and also the end of our stay here in Spain. I cannot believe that SIX weeks have already come and gone. I'm afraid that this trip is going by awfully ...

Córdoba, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands spirityufo... first time I´ve heard real Spanish music, as whenever I went out in Portugal I didn´t really get to hear the kind of current music that people there listened too. For all I know it could have been ****** 80´s Spanish tunes, but it was still cool. It´s funny to compare people over here at clubs to how North Americans tend to be. Spanish and European guys really like to dance. It was quite funny to watch how involved with it they got. Not that they were ...
