Tryp Frankfurt

It was sooooo cold in Frankfurt, we didn't want to spend much time here since we had no winter clothing. WE got in late, went to our hotel, then back to the airport to get our flight to Bangkok moved up. We though it would be at 8 that night, but they managed to get us on the next flight out, which was pretty much within the hour. Woohooo! I also kept speaking Italian in Germany... so confused with all the languages.

... 2 hours, so we found a covered seat in the back for most of the ride. It is under a canopy with open sides so the view was somewhat obstructed, but still ok. It was also a little windy back there so I wore a jacket for the first daytime on the trip. <br><br>The boat made its way slowly along the river and we saw dozens of castles. It was nice having the Rick Steves book and the KM markers on the riverbanks ...

Oh my life... First off, I thought I was going to Zurich, but showed up to discover I was actually going to Frankfurt. Fine. I boarded my flight on Lufthansa per usual and was off. The flight was full of Americans and Canadians, with a few Spaniards and Germans sprinkled in for good measure. I got to Frankfurt and strolled around for a bit before heading to my gate. ... Chicago was bumpy the whole way and the overseas flight was constistently bumpy for the first four hours. However, I actually slept most of the flight, which is usually difficult for me. We arrived this morning and took the train (S-Bahn) to the Hauptbahnhof, then walked to our hostel. After checking in, we took a walk around the Altstadt and saw the Dom and the Römerberg.
