... fall I saw colors of Autumn. I love it. When we arrived to Granada the first thing that went through my head was that it was quite different than Malaga. The bus drive parked the bus in front of our hotel which was in the center of the city and we had about ten minutes to go to the bathroom. I did that but then I thought that I would have gotten a better first experience in Granada by quickly leaving the group and walking down the road. I´m glad ...
Granada, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands skivail89... Positive!

Well, today is Monday and I had to go to Álora for this meeting with professors they have me scheduled for from 5-630. I suspected that it was going to be a waste of time and it was actually just going to be me preparing materials, not actually meeting with anyone.
So I took the train there today and was walking down the street towards my school when I saw Juan driving away from the school towards Málaga. I flagged him down and asked why ...
Orgiva, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands debdeb80It rained overnight, but was sunny the next morning. Mike got up early and went on a 12 mile run up in the mountains near Competa. His best run on the trip. We packed up the car and headed out to Granada. But first we stopped to explore the Nerja caves. The caves were less than 5 minutes from where we were staying. It's very touristy, but well worth the visit. The caves/caverns are massive and quite something to see. They are considered an ...
Granada, Andalusia, Spain stacicheckahoyhoy!! So we have been having quite the time in spain, and i was soooo excited to write about it once i got to gibraltar, which is when i found out internet there costs like a gazillion dollars. so now im on the spanish side of the border typiung for CHEAP again. I love Spain.
Anyway, Granada. We caught an overnight train here, which was long and gruesome, with a clinically insane man singing and screaming all 12 hours of the way, and seats that didnt recline, but HEY we made it ...
Granada, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands sromanuck... ceremonial bragging rights and we were met with the powerful and painful coupling of wind and sand and water. It hurt. I think, as I write this, there is yet sand in my inner ear. I'll die of a sand infection, I just know it. Another morning coffee and we decided - as Hope would lead us on - that we would have better luck in Algecerias or Gibraltar, which both offer ferries to the dawn of creation. Beep-beep-boop into Magda and off we were to ...
Granada, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands teemoshi... of the girls from Holland. All pretty tall, and pretty good looking as well, we began to discuss their studies, career paths, and places to go out this week__clubs, bars, discotecs, hookah bar, etc. Should definitely be a good week in Granada despite the living situation. No pasó nada (no big deal). Tomorrow is a free day because Ramiro is still sick, but I look forward to sleeping well with ACTUAL heat tonight. Que bueno!
Granada, Spain jakester21... occupies a former convent and sits right on the cliff edge and has a wonderful view. I sip a beer on my terrace in the hot evening and look out over the countryside and think how much the nuns would have enjoyed this if they had had the opportunity :). I have a great meal in the courtyard of a restaurant with a big red cross on one wall. I have my usual gazpacho as a first course - it's the best possible thing during a hot Spanish summer and leaves the mouth tingling with ...
Granada, Andalusia, Spain everardt... schedule. I am expecting the start of the academic year will take me out of vacation mode, something that I can't seem to shake (because I love vacations!) Tuesday I sat down with an advisor to register for my Fall classes and I was happy how it worked out. I will have two- two hour classes Monday through Thursday and then 3 day weekends! Sweet huh? I will have two language classes: Variations of Spanish and a Linguistics course and ...
Granada, Spain gibby186x... bar and ordered drinks you were served croquettes (fried potato dumplings), jamon, or little bocadillos (small sandwiches) for free! This, however, is misleading, as compared to Sevilla the drinks in Granada were a little more expensive. Tapas actually began as free appetizers that Spanish bar owners gave to patrons when they came to their establishments, so it was nice to see that this tradition was still being practiced somewhere.. The food paled in comparison to ...
