Today we left Philly on a 10.15am Greyhound - Peterpan coach for NYC. The ride only took 2 hours and was reasonably comfortable. Touching down in NYC around half 12 where we caught the metro up to 103 st to our hostel, HI NYC. Completely different to our one in Philly, this was larger and less personal, whereas in Philly people chatted and free coffee was available. Only being here a few hours it's hard to comment, we've chatted to two Australian girls and another from the UK ...
... 10-10-10 I ran in the rainy but excellent Portland Marathon. With friends and more cheering me along, a very cool view crossing St. Johns Bridge, a marriage proposal on the hilltop, down the hill of the Adidas HQ and its cool shoe statue, through a tunnel, past some beer hydration and to the finish line! Yeah! I had finished, my #1 goal and somehow managed (or quickly) to qualify for the Boston Marathon.

We caught the free Staten Island Ferry from down town which takes you straight past The Statue of Liberty - such a cool monument and a bit surreal seeing it!
