      ... very cosy and settling in for our first night, dinner in again. 5.11.14 Alberobello Had very heavy wind and rain last night, so bed was quite comfy to stay in, breakfast was simple but nice. Decided to go for a drive and explore and there are Trulli's built for miles around not just close to Alberobello. Went back into town and bought a bread stick and some prosciutto for dinner with the cheese and red wine we have left. It was lunch time ...

      ... Tony. Lots of locals were around enjoying church and their 'passagatas'. Anyway we went to our Emmeji friend who recharged our Ipad, printed some documents for us and sold us some cards. Very useful visit.

      Then we drove to Locorotunda – recommended by Roberto who is running La Trullesa where we are staying. It was only about 10 minutes away and parking was sinchy for a change.

      ... arches etc. – all very white. However later on, when I said my usual 'Bon Giorno' to a little old man today, he said to me (in Italian), ‘your smile brought joy to my life’; there you go. There were also great views down to the valley and eventually the sea from here. Nice place but does seem a bit poor.
