... our final two dives in Utila, again with Jess and Todd. We had been scheduled to go to the north side of the island again, but due to the weather and currents, we'd been put back to the south side. The location of where we were diving also kept changing. The first dive was at Stingray Point, at 18 metres for 44 minutes. Here we saw a barracuda, looking mean, sergeant majors, brittle starfish, trunkfish, cowfish, lot of jellyfish including some ...

... at the same time, unlike the other courses which finish each day of the week. The IDC party is traditionally held at "treetanic" an incredibly unique bar a little further off the main strip which is famous for it's purely recycled material structure. ... the flat tire with it's spare.Ruby was never worried as she still had her oldest son who was also driving a tour bus behind us. It was a short divergence from our journey that because of it quick outcome was a chance for us to better see this small lane that crossed the island from north to south.

Not long after our flat tire adventure, we pull into a small parking lot that was closely guarded by dense island foliage. The parking area was a dirt area ...

... a lot of the fish and sea creatures seemed to be flying rather than swimming. The total on our boat was split between two groups and the other group got to see turtles (the massive ones of course) of which I am incredibly jealous.

The two sites we dove were (18m) Ted’s Point and (16.9m) Airport Caves. We also saw: sting rays, trunkfish, cowfish, angelfish, rock beauty, butterfly fish, blue tang (like Dori in Little Nemo), squirrelfish, trumpetfish, sergeant major, ...
