    ... the sound of the river rushing underneath us and the knowledge of being underground all contributed to that bizarre feeling. Despite there being a solid railing all the way, I still held the kids closely! As the temperature started to increase we knew we were nearing the end of our tour and underground experience.     ... t hitchhiked before so we assured them it would all be fine and we would get a lift back.
    A car pulled up...only two spaces...being the gentleman we are we offered to let them have it but they refused and we were too hungry to argue so we jumped in. An Italian couple and their young daughter this time. We were a bit worried about the american guys however shortly after we had been dropped back in town they were dropped off too...a great result all round.

    ... While sitting there we had free wi-fi so listened to part of the State of Origin Game on the ABC. We then took a row boat or "pletna" boat out to the island in the middle of the lake (31m deep at deepest point) and walked up to the Church of Mother of The God on the Lake.     ... cashier told us we only had an hour, so we decided it would not be worth the money for rentals. Especially considering the fact that I would have to teach Deb how to ski, which would likely take a couple of days haha. Nonetheless, we took the gondola to the top and had lunch. The view from the top was stunning, and the beer tasted even better at 1,500 meters.
