... a hot bed for corn growing. Buy myself a little popcorn and head over to the square for the final Okarina festival show of the summer, a Portuguese singer and her small band. Everything is in Portuguese, so not entirely sure what she is saying, but still great music and the crowd seems to be into it, though not as enthused as the first two nights I was there. ... modern feel. We climbed the tower for the great views of both the old Communist city and the charming downtown. The small theater offers a movie about the history of the castle – told from the perspective of a dragon that flies in from outside the galaxy? It was interesting to learn that the Romans were the first to build a city here, and that the oldest wheel with axle attached was found in the Slovenian marshes outside Ljubljana. We also visited ...

... creature I could do it. A human, however, can not survive on air and water; I need basic shelter, food etc. The beauty of the gorge struck me so deeply because I felt the gorge and I were elemental to life. Again, I struggle to put my senses, feelings, thoughts and being into words. Perhaps the most simple way to describe it was that I felt present; fully present; no past, no future; just now.

It was also here that I learnt when you walk in nature a Slovenian will ...
