... really miss her! As for work, today (and this whole week) was a little bit tough. I am reading through a bunch of cases from the European Court of Human Rights and it’s really depressing to read case after case about torture in prison or rape or imprisonment for political speech. No pictures for now, might add some later.

I booked the "Original London Tour" for 48 hours with the Concierge and obtained directions to bus pick up point. So now organised for the day. All had a ...

... book an apartment through for this very weekend. I picked up the article and read it only to have the entire booking situation explained. Apparently it is against the law in London to rent out an apartment for less than three months, and that police are using Airbnb to find people who are breaking this ancient law. The article came out that same week I had been trying to book a place. The lady must have seen it and freaked out that I might have not been who I said I ...

History of tea in Great Britain

A travel blog entry by fergusbrandon on Nov 15, 2014

... simply, it is the drink that energies Britain.

    A growing phenomenon

The extensive use of tea is obvious during the Chinese Han Dynasty and a wealth of extravagant tea kit and equipment survives today as testimony to its growing popularity. It’s extensively believed that during this time the first managed farms began to emerge, as wild tea scrubs were stripped of their leaves to keep up with ultimatum. By the conclusion of the ...
