Next, a good friend of mine moved to Europe. This is a woman who had lived in Texas since birth. When I first met her, she was working in the same district where she had gone to school. She wasn't the type to just run off to Europe. But she fell in love, and in a couple of years, she was married and relocated.

The time passed quickly in departures. Before I knew it, we were lining up to board and then taking off. From what I can tell it was on time or a little early. Within an hour of take off we were getting dinner. It felt too late to be eating, but I ate it anyway. Eventually they cleared the trays and I settled in to get some rest. I actually managed to get some sleep! It probably added up to around 4 or 5 hours. About two hours before landing, they fed us again; ...

... the Royal Albert Hall, spent Easter in Cologne with family, had more visitors including Keith (twice!), Kayla, Mom and Yvonne (and a quick blast of to Paris with them as well), and a very special visit from Devan to London. How special to have been able to spend time with great friends in family in London (and other countries/cities too!).

Some of the toughest times being far away from home and family was when Logan was born! Thank god for iPhones and photo streams. At least ...

... and a barbers. All I could remember was 'the demon barber of Fleet Street', Johnny Depp and watching it back home in Theatre. When I finally remembered 'Sweeney Todd' I yelled it so loud that I wouldn't have been surprised if someone wanted to take a shaving knife to my neck too.

... for the theatre, some of which have decided that wearing a short skirt or very low cut top would be a fabulous idea. Yeah, not so much. We obviously stood out on the subway because of some of the girls attire, their giddiness, and innocence. Some of them just didn't understand how London was nothing like Winnipeg (and that you needed to be alert and aware of everyone around you at all times, no matter who you are with).
