    We're not travelling by boat, plane or automobile! We're going for the quiet life using pedal power on our trike and bike. They've both been serviced now and ready to go. We've just got to pack our luggage (not too much though because of the weight).     ... garden called Bishop's Palace Gardens where the roses were in bloom.

    However, the highlight was the 900 year old Chichester Cathedral. This cathedral was another amazing building filled with an interesting and moving spiritual history including the tomb of St Richard who was born near Tenbury Wells at Droitwich in 1197 and canonised in 1262.     All the final checks to make sure we had all we needed and then at midday we left home for the off site parking near Heathrow airport. A short minibus ride to terminal 2 to check in and beer to celebrate and a very early tea - pasta - in a nice restaurant that had old books in it.

    ... to attack that they didn’t put proper security on the town. So when the town was bombed in a massive raid their effort in the war came to a stand still and halted England for a short time.

    I stayed in a pub that was 15 mins walk from the City centre. Southampton is very walkable and I wandered from the suburbs through the city centre, into Old Town and down to the port within half and hour.
