... to your cuban friend about eating alot of papaya.
I have planned out the next 3 months of my life( you think I'm exagerating, but I'm not). Basically it's non-stop bussing around on the weekends to some of the crazy destinations in Nica, but I'll give more details once I have actually been there.
As far as personal life in the house goes, its pretty relaxing. On my run this morning, I saw an eight year ...
So day two...
After a night of drinking 2 boxes-o-wine, Jackie, Suzanne and I all got up nice and early to go and see one of the volcanoes just outside of the city Grenada. So since we all arent quite accustomed to how much things cost, how long it takes to get places, etc., we were not the most efficient of travelers. First off, it took 2 hours to get to a city literally 20km away... at one point the driver was actually reading the newspaper waiting for ...
... were on the top deck (of which we ended up on because it was so jam packed..). So we think, Ok, the free Rum Punch might make this liveable, right? Nooooo, it was like some crazy sour Rum drink that wasn't even drinkable. So by the time we get to Morne Rouge, we already know we're not taking that think back...Not my style. So we investigated a cab. It was $18 back into St. George. We ...
Grenada, Grenada audaciousred... the beach and the palm trees. The site was postcard beautiful. With excitement, I kept running around here and there taking pictures since we only had a few minutes. Once back in the van, we noticed that something was smelling terrible but we all kept our mouths shut thinking who was it. Finally, the driver spotted the guilty person. It was Mi. Unknown to him, he had stepped on some dog's poo while walking on the beach ...

La Tante, Grenada ultipost... Grooms on the beach, no-one else in the restaurant so got personal service and the life history/experience of the guy running the place. All interesting stuff. He had trained as a electrician or electrical engineer and seen the light and become a chef in the restaurant. He was going to join the British army to get some further good-quality training and expand his horizons - seemed to have his head screwed on the right way, rather better than some who just drift along.
St. Georges, Grenada robliz... the path, tripping over himself, playing it cool, they left and i went for a well earned sleep at about 6am. It was bizarre getting up tho, coz i knew I wouldnt be able to go round theirs like id been doing for the last 2 weeks or so, so it felt really lonely. So, dooon the beach! The weather has been awesom the last couple of days, think maybe the hurricane is pulling everything with it including the clouds. But the sea has changed so much since it passed. The waves are huge now ...
Grand Anse, Grenada beef_jerkey... of rock. And the fish, every colour u can imagine, really vivid colours, and swimming through the shoals of tiny fish was cool. I saw quite a few long skinny fish, looked almost like pencils, with a snout. Cant remember what they were called, anyone? Moving along the coastline, after i had become a bit more confident and didnt feel the need to tag along to the others, i was quite lucky coz i saw a group of brown squid. There was about 10 of them in a line just ...
St. george's, Grenada beef_jerkey... the island to go to a private ultrasound clinic. U have to go across all the mountains, where the views are amazing!!! Think we got to 1100ft with views of pretty much all the southern half of the island and sea. Its really easy to see the effect of the hurricane up there as well, lots and lots of trees which dont have any branches or leaves, and plenty houses abandoned and lying in ruins. Its surprising only about 25 grenadan people were killed. About 11 tourist were killed.
Lance Aux Epines, Grenada beef_jerkey... get to our room #226. Things we enjoyed about Grenada: Rum Punches: rum, a little syrup, dash of bitters, lime juice and a sprinkling of nutmeg. Mini-Buses: $1.50 got you a ride to town on a mini-bus. They operate with a driver and a conductor (who collects and ushers people in/out). A toot of the horn means the bus has room for you. 3 knocks on the bus frame means you want out. Fast. Good breezes. Soundtrack of reggae. 10 minutes to town. Everyone ...
