    ... us whereby 8 years or so ago, a customer had not been able to pay his butchers bill and had this bird and so the butcher had accepted it as payment! It had stayed in its small cage for 8 years when a regular of Blue Ribbon had seen it and bought it from the butcher to give to the resort, clearly an animal lover! John had built a nice big home for it near the pool and on our third day there it was rehomed and clearly very happy about it. Sometimes some stories are ...

    ... a quick look around the area and get something to eat. Few minutes later we are sat in a small restaurant, sampling our first cheap meal which consisted of a few bits of meat we were told was pork, and of course rice, and 2 waters for 150pesos!

    After that we took a walk round a mall called 'Robinsons' which was pretty cool, we will definatly doing some shopping when we return back to Manila in 8 weeks!

    So 9pm , its bedtime ,as we have a 4.30 ...

    ... we ended our evening watching an episode of The Amazing Race.

    The next day proved to be a bit nicer, but the weather still threatened rain. We decided to skip diving altogether and wait for more optimal conditions in Malaysia and southern Thailand. Instead we tried to practice Frisbee, but the wind was working against us, so we went snorkeling.

    ... diving, dry suit diving and the list goes on and on.....most of which have been completed in both schools, PADI and SSI. So there's no question in my mind that this guy has got the experience necessary to deliver professional training. The question surfaces: Do I have what it takes to make it through?

    Whatever the case is I sign up and begin my training immediately. The days tend to start between 8 AM - 9:30ish and end anywhere from 4 PM to 5:30 PM ...
