Tropical Sol Aparthotel Albufeira

We enjoyed our holidays (again) in Trop. Sol in Aug. 03. It was our 3rd visit. Delighted to hear that you have aircond. in bedrooms now. The apts. are lovely and spacious and the cleaning staff are very good at their job and friendly. The staff are nice especially the bar staff (the young man (sorry I forget you name) especially). Also the food at the poolside restuarant is very good, clean and run by very nice people.

We hope to go back this year maybe for 1 week only the 2 of us!!! I remember when the whole family (3 children) came with us and they too enjoyed it. They are adults now and still talk about The Tropical Sol. Slán go foill!!! Mairead and Gearoid O Ceannabháin.

Myself and my wife stayed in the Tropical Sol with our 3 year old son last year. It was absolutely beautiful. Staff were friendly accomadation top class rooms cleaned every day and cleaned well.

Location is excellend also. The bar located withing the complex is well suited to families with small children. My only really small complaint is the pool is not heated and could be quite chilly. All in all we enjoyed our stay and are returning this September. I must recommend the bakery just around the corner. Beautiful!!!!

Good location, close, but not too close to the main strip. The beach is a good walk (20 mins away) and I wouldn't recommend it for kids or the elderly. Our apartment was spacious but severely dated and not very clean, however, we went in another apartment and it was modern and spotless!

All in all pretty average.

We have just returned home from the algarve and we stayed at the Tropical sol apartments with Eclipse and we were very pleased with the cleanliness of the complex the rooms were spacious and the location was fantastic near to all the facilities and the great beaches Very good hoilday and would return again soon.

I have just returned (14/08/03) from the Tropical Sol Apartments and would agree that the accommodation is spacious and well equipped and that the facilities are adequate.However, 2 things to be aware of. Firstly, there is no air conditioning in the bedrooms and they can become very stuffy. Secondly, the noise at night which seems to be continuous. There is a strip club opposite the entrance which seems to spew forth a very 'vocal' clientele at about 4a.m. There also seems to be an abundance of street sweeping machines and early morning delivery vehicles.However, if you're a heavy sleeper this is the place for you and your children.

Have just got back from a week's stay at these apartments and found them extremely well run. The entire place is kept clean and tidy all the time.The rooms were well decorated and furnishings were better than most. Well equipped with hot plates, microwave, fridge and (surprisingly) TV with 15 stations of all languages. The staff were polite and helpful.Albufeira is a fairly lively place but not too boisterous. Many families and age groups were there and during the evening there is something for everyone. Some excellent restaurants - Portuguese cooking is recommended. WARNING: Some of the 'trendy' bars charge serious high prices for drinks. If you like UK Garage, R&B, Urban etc. (or even if you don't), try Matt's Bar on the road towards the beach at the top end of 'The Strip'. You can pay double his prices elsewhere. It may appear to be a 'youngster's' bar, but don't let that put you off if you think you're too old for the place - they won't bite!Enjoy....Rick, Dorset

I've been there for a last 6 years! Its clean, air conditioned, with friendly staff and quality amenities! Its quite a walk from the sea but with such a good pool and surroundings is not a problem and is within a short walk to bars/clubs/shops.

We have just returned from our holiday, myself and my daughter and friend.It was the first time we travelled to Portugal and had no idea on the location/accomodation we would be staying in until we arrived.We were extremelly impressed with the accomodation and location. It was very clean and well equipped for our SC hol.The staff at the poolside Bar where extremelly hospitable and the quailty of the food was good.I hope to return at a later date with my family and would have no hesitation in returning to the Tropical SolMany thanks to all the staff who made our holiday a fun, comfortable and enjoyable holiday

After reading the excellent reviews on the internet I was disappointed with our one-bed apartment, room 014. It was a very good size but was very dated and gloomy inside. It is a shame as the complex is very well run will a lovely large swimming pool. We visited the Club Oceano which had much smaller rooms, but beautifully fitted with brigh, clean furniture (room 308). It makes clear the star system doen't guarentee quality as Tropical Sol is 4* and Club Oceano is 3*.
