Today was spent on the resort, not the beach, just in and around the resort grounds. We took the time to walk the grounds some more and see the wildlife up a little closer. There are quite a variety of birds living on the grounds. The ones we recognize are peacocks, pigeons, geese, flamingos and cranes. There are several species that we do not recognize as well. ... the locals were ready with their souvenirs to sell. I wasn't too excited about more vendors but did relent and purchase some cheesy rum with our picture on the bottle. The one vendor I did appreciate was the one selling snacks, drinks and beer as we were getting on the bus. The cold drinks and ice cream helped to cool us down quickly and really hit the spot.
