    ... time was a mixture of swimming in the pool or patong beach, shopping in the markets, walking around the streets including bangla rd and just taking it easy.

    Patong beach up the north end where we are is much quieternd the water quite clean. Beach chairs are 100 bht each for any length of time on the day. You'll have people stopping by to sell you hats, sunglasses, bikinis, aloe vera etc but they want hang for long and sometimes are nice to talk to for a brief moment. ...

    ... this mall I couldn't help but think of my mother who would still be only half way through the first shop rummaging through the never-ending sale stock. Overwhelmed and exhausted we journeyed back to our flashy hotel to trip advisor to find a place to eat.

    ... but they were flying.Found Nai Long beach another beauty and in for another dip and this was the first heavy downpour, so took cover in a restaurant, they made a fortune out of us one cup of tea and Jo managed to get another cup of hot water and using same teabag managed to get another cup out of it!
