    ... to town to reprovision for next few days. Novak and Camilla are back in the water with a brand new speedboat engine in place - so it's all smiles onboard the #TeamSweden boat. Really happy for them, they are also leaving tomorrow so no doubt we will catch up further down the coast. We walked to Santa Marta tonight which is still part of Bayonna but just as you come into town, the beach there ...

    ... and tells you it sails fine close to the wind they're lying ! Cats do not go to wind that's for sure, downwind or on the beam and she's off like a racehorse - wind on the nose, stay put in port. Our next destination is 50 plus miles down the coast and I'm not doing that at 3 knots with 20 knot gusts all the way, No Para Mi Amigo. Novak and Camilla joined us for dinner ...

    ... in that Carlotta took us south across the Rio Mino into Portugal then swung west towards the coast before re-crossing back into Spain and then continuing to the sea. For those of us who are used to strict border controls and immigration checks, we were reminded of how simple life is for the Europeans. No border controls, no stopping, nothing. All too easy. Not too sure about the security aspects of that though.

    ... Rock statue just outside town, it was one hell of a climb, we went right to the top where you can look out over the bay. You stand on this little ledge with only a small railing and it's well scary in the wind we've had today. The rest of the day I think we've spent eating and not really doing a lot - for lunch we had Warm Beetroot and Cherry Tomato Salad in a Balsamic ...

    We set off about 9.30 this morning and got about 6miles out from the Marina around the North Cardinal marker just outside Bayonna, it wasn't rough but there was quite a big swell and the wind was blowing directly at us which it would have done so all the way down. When I checked the plotter we were doing 3.1 Knots over the ground and at that rate it would taken 10 hours just to get to the first port in Portugal which I am afraid ...
