Oslo, Oslo, Norway cariverga... out all the other Australians in the backpackers to me, as if I must want to talk to them just because they come from my country. He was harmless enough though and in the end it was just amusing to listen to him jabbering on, I realised that you didn't even really need to respond, he just wanted to talk. He finally got up the courage to comment on my hairstyle while we were in the shuttle. It must have been ...
Oslo, Norway lingo83... around and we ended-up by the Noble Peace Center and the National Theatre instead. Enter in - the iPhone and GPS to the rescue, which navigated us to the right spot. Since Oslo is never this hot, none of the buildings have AC. Hard Rock was not an exception to this. We sat on the second floor but at least we were right next to a guitar signed by STP (including Scott Weiland). Who needs air conditioning when you get that!!!!! The meal was ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway larzstarz... from other things like floor heating in the bathroom. Linda and Thomas lamented that due to the continually falling snow we could not appreciate the view down to the Fjord from the apartment but the snow is such a novelty that we were happy just the same. Dinner was delicous homemade (by Linda) meat pizza, which she constructed while we got a load of Steve and my dirty washing going and Thomas joined us for some beer and conversation. The night continued with more pizza, beer ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway silbersam... i know what most of you maybe thinking, cricket....i cant believe he likes cricket!! Believe me, if you had asked me to go to a cricket match a few years ago i would have laughed in your face but Ive come to realize that i will watch any sport as long as i know the rules of the game. Competitive sport, the winning and the losing have always have always held a keen interest of mine, whether its the hermit crab racing in Fiji or the curling at the winter Olympics, and when an auld ...
Oslo, Oslo, Norway talamarko... Well it ended up being a few drinks so we had fun. We then took the last metro home and Anders stopped by quickly at my place for one last glass of wine. Well, this is it, last night in Oslo, in my own bed, under the snow, or whatever crazy weather this city feels like... In a little bit more than a day I will be in INDIA!
Oslo, Norway sebzenorseWe flew from England to Oslo to start our journey. We only spent 3 1/2days in Norway as it was so bloody expensive...for all you beer lovin aussies cop this, $13.00 for a pint of local beer. Bloody outrageous!!! Other than the price of beer and food we did manage to a have a good time. We saw most of what Norway has to offer in terms of scenery by doing a day trip called Norway in a Nutshell. Basically we took a train ride through the country side then went on a boat ride ...
Oslo, Norway kate_and_kane... of Washington state. These people may not garner the same amount of international acclaim that other countries may, but I argue that it simply isn't the Norwegian way to draw attention to one's self for selfish reasons of popularity and advancing to a higher position. Instead, these people (and more than the eight that we've talked to so far) find their niche and embrace it, whether it's working as a volunteer in an advocacy campaign for ...
Oslo, Norway olsencv... my first time trying peanut sauce, and it has been a favorite ever since. On my last night is Oslo, we went to Egon, a restaurant where you went up to a counter and picked out your uncooked food. The chef then prepared your food and it was brought to you. Our table was in a closed in area like a little private mini room. After eating, we went back by bus to B and A's house. One last time I looked at the night view from their windows. I would leave Oslo early the next morning, at 7:55am.
