Tai was in control of the alarm for the 1st time in our whole relationship this morning as I was so poorly sick and he switched it off and we slept in, waking up just 10 minutes before we had to check out! We dashed around shoving the last few bits in our cases and ran out the door, we just made the bus in time. The flight was non eventful and we soon touched down in Oslo! ... we got to see the Gokstad ship, the Oseberg ship, and the Tune ship, all of which are the best preserved Viking ships found at burial sites along the Oslo fjord. All of the ships were buried over 1,100 years ago as vessels to bring their royal owners to the land of the dead, along with any supplies they might need for the afterlife as well. Some of the artifacts they took with them, however, seemed pretty overkill; talk about not packing lightly! ...

Rain had stopped by time we left, which was perfect as we took ferry to Bygdoy peninsula (50K return). We walked past some posh looking wooden houses to the Viking Ship museum. Today was a lazy day. We walked along the east side of the river up to the falls. (real falls in the middle of Oslo) and back walking from shop to shop. They don't have Victoria's Secret in Norway apparently, and this store sells some banging bras for like $20-40, which I think is inexpensive especially for Norway. I hope they have stores in the US!
