      ... he sat down and began to chow down. We watched the many rats running along the tracks and found ourselves being looked at. As it was past midnight and the imagination was running riot it just didnt seem like a good place to be. People seemed to be spitting by us as they passed. Eventually salvation arrived at 12.20am in the form of the 16345 Express Train from Delhi to Trivandrum. Our bacon had been saved. Or had it?

      ... It wasn't the greatest beach. No helped by all the beach huts some in a state of disrepair along our stretch. Not many people around as it's low season. No cafés or restaurants along the beach either which was also disappointing. There were a few restaurants in town one of which we returned to a few times. The first time we went Tom ordered one of the best curries we've ever had. So much so we went back again so that I could have it too! They sold beer and lots of western food so ...

      ... entrance it appeared like a mystical palace in the air and I felt tears come to my eyes as its breath taking beauty. It was difficult to believe that it was real, the size of it was overwhelming. Once you get up close and see the detail in the marble it is even more amazing and even with thousands of tourists crawling all over it like ants it does not detract from the experience.       ... way fortunately as true enough one of the 2 rooms at Afonso’s had been taken!
