... It wasn't the greatest beach. No helped by all the beach huts some in a state of disrepair along our stretch. Not many people around as it's low season. No cafés or restaurants along the beach either which was also disappointing. There were a few restaurants in town one of which we returned to a few times. In Goa they speak Konkani and a bit of English, but I didn't think it was much English. Not sure how much Hindi is spoken here.

Roads and traffic in Goa are far less complicated than in the large cities, obviously. Roads are narrow, sometimes one-lane. But they drive no less crazily.
