    ... mostly Indians by the depth of their tans, but palefaces as well, on the beach beds, under the umbrellas sipping the cool ones! Fern and I managed to slip away and have a cool one as well, on a veranda overlooking the beach scene.

    Our last day was spent on a quiet beach just up from the hotel. The temperature here was 35C, and we recalled leaving Sudbury at -35C! Tomorrow an early morning train takes us east into a world heritage site. Stay tuned!

    ... and buildings, the coast line and of course the hundreds of slums. The flight only took 1hour which was great and we also got a free feed!  When we reached Goa we had a 45 minuet taxi ride too our hotel that was situated in a place called Calangute. The hotel was quite far out of town.     ... an ipod in the corner with glidy piano music- I love this place. Feeling zen and at peace with myself, I glided back to the room to find Kanu answering some business emails in the complimentary spa dressing gown and slippers- I'm not the only one getting into the spirit of this place.

    ... alcohol is actually a lot cheaper here than in Delhi or Mumbai which is ofcourse GREAT!

    I reunited here with my Dutch friend Aron and South African friend Natasha who I met in McLeod Ganj and Aron I met for the 4th time.     ... had failed it once or twice before so were redoing 4th standard(the year). It must be very difficult for the kids as they have to learn Konkani(the local language) Hindi and English and they aren't taught proper english just parrot fashion, most of the girls can read me a story, the don't know what the words mean they just memorise where the words come in the story, it's quite frustrating as the make a real difference in helping teach any of the children in ...
