    A combined blog for a couple of days because a major storm took our internet down for a few days.

    We awoke to a threatening sky and wondered how the day would go. We set off for the golf course and played 18 holes waiting to get wet. As it thunder crashed around us we couldn't quiet understand how we were not wet but dry, which we were and that's how we ended. A quick lunch at the hotel and we set off for Lake Bled and the castle. I have to say the castle was ...

    ... no need to look anymore. We haggled what we could and agreed on a price, trembling hands, Don handed over his card.
    I couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the day, and the next. We had a lovely day in Central Park and the rock with Matt and Sharlie, we knew we had to sneak off at 3.30 to pick up the new addition to our little family. Sylvester. It was and is more then I could ever imagine wearing and I am so so lucky.

    ... known only to a few. Unfortunately as I got there I inhaled a large flying creature which put up a tremendous fight with my tonsils before submitting to superior strength and deciding to flap around in my right lung. Although I had won the battle I certainly hadn't won the war and the terradactyl size creature continued to cause havoc as I coughed and spluttered like a seasoned smoker at the side of the lake.     The island in the center, Bled Island, has several buildings, the main one being the pilgrimage church dedicated to the Assumption of Mary near the end of the 17th century, and decorated with remains of Gothic frescos from around 1470. Ring the tower bell and all your wishes will come true.
