For the past 6 months, until the end of September, Koblenz hosted BUGA 2011. This is the European Flower show and a different city hosts each year. They were clearing away the exhibits as the weather gets too cold to have the displays. Apparently it was a huge success.

Weekend Seven: Koblenz

Bacharach day 2-3
... there is another castle. Rhinefels is huge and very interesting. It is only 1/3 as big as original because after it was no longer in use it was a source of building stone for the town.
