We see Greek, Roman and even Venetian ruins. Very spectacular. We are told that many mosaic floors have been preserved, but they are covered in plastic and sand to keep them from deteriorating. Not much good for us us, their must be a better way! We eventually get to see a small example.

Waking up on the ferry this morning feeling a little worse for wear and over heating. The cabins were cosy with no air conditioning so we didn't really have a wonderful sleep. We are setting off down the coast of Italy today heading for an over night ferry.
