Tri Trang Beach Resort is worth a visit again. If I would go back to Phuket, i will stay in here again. It is a big property with separate buildings and it has its own private beach. The sand is fine and the restaurant is beside the beach. I love the location of the restaurant, however, it is not near the room where I stayed so I always need to walk for 500 meters and take the elevator to go there. The resort has 3 swimming pools and it is never crowded too. Mostly, the guest in this hotel are Europeans. The room is comfortable and and the comfort room is big. It has a balcony adjoining each room. The only thing I don't like in this resort is you need to take a Tuk Tuk or Taxi for 250 Baht for one way to go to central Patong. The food in this place is also quite costly. However, despite this, I would still recommend staying in this property especially if you are someone who loves privacy.

Phuket is a lovely place. It is one of the Southern Provinces in Thailand that has vibrant beaches and great islands. It is the gateway to Jame's Bond Island, part of Ao Phang Nga National Park, which has been featured in the movie The Man With the Golden Gun in 1974. From Phuket, one can also reach  Ko Phi Phi Island, which has became famous …

... After breakfast we got our bathing suits on and started our tan. Turning occasionally like a 'spit braai' (afrikaans term). We had our lunch and dinner next to the poolside which is located on the 2nd floor. It does seem strange, but a lot of hotels have their swimming pools situated on 2nd floor upwards. Our BKK hotel's is on the 9th floor. Not too strange foodies today. Just lovely local ...

... also managed to catch a BEAUTIFUL sunset, which we almost missed! I tried to get a picture of a parasailer in front of the setting sun, but it didn't work out all too well. However, I did get a picture of an older Asian couple making a heart with their arms with the sunset in the background!

Patong, and Phuket in general, is well known as being a very seedy place--"ping pong" shows, prostitutes, and lady-boys all common occurrences and vigorously promoted. One ...

Finally - lush tropical foliage and a beach

A travel blog entry by michi40 on Nov 24, 2013

After being so disappointed in Chiang Mai, we flew south to the beach area of Phuket. The drive into Patong was beautiful – finally, the tropical place I'd been dreaming of. There is still traffic congestion, broken sidewalks, etc, but the air is not so polluted. Tropical plants and orchids everywhere and the ocean is a beautiful blue. Our hotel room looks out to the sea, and it is wonderful to see the ocean at every turn.

Our last full day today :( It's now become standard to sleep until at least 9am....how unfortunate...and to be one of the last having breakfast. Our Thai routine is very relaxing. After breaky, we.....yep, went down to the pool for a couple of hours basking in the warm sun and floating around in the beautiful water. Ian, our "Tanning Butler" for the day made sure we were watered and fed to within an inch of our lives. Then, we took a walk around a part of the gardens we hadn't yet seen ...
