Tri Trang Beach Resort is worth a visit again. If I would go back to Phuket, i will stay in here again. It is a big property with separate buildings and it has its own private beach. The sand is fine and the restaurant is beside the beach. I love the location of the restaurant, however, it is not near the room where I stayed so I always need to walk for 500 meters and take the elevator to go there. The resort has 3 swimming pools and it is never crowded too. Mostly, the guest in this hotel are Europeans. The room is comfortable and and the comfort room is big. It has a balcony adjoining each room. The only thing I don't like in this resort is you need to take a Tuk Tuk or Taxi for 250 Baht for one way to go to central Patong. The food in this place is also quite costly. However, despite this, I would still recommend staying in this property especially if you are someone who loves privacy.

... 8211; so the better part of the day was spent dealing with the Thai bureaucracy and paying the $200 ‘cash grab’ to stay another 30 days. A couple more provisions, finalizing the scuba tank install and a nap for Ginette, and we finally relaxed with some margaritas and nachos at the lovely yacht club bar – a quiet retreat away from the thousands of tourists around the pier. We met up with Gunter and Maria but with Ginette not feeling well it was an early night knowing we ...
... Beach, again somewhere different to where I saw monkeys previously. We completely forgot to buy nuts to feed them so just had to observe! There were lots of babies all play fighting which entertained us for a while before heading to May Ya Bay. On the way to May Ya Bay where 'The Beach' was filmed, we passed Viking Cave, I can't remember if I'd mentioned it in a previous blog. Thai men live and work in this specific cave collecting birds nests ...
... the panic once we went through- a beautiful lagoon. Trip back to boat was easier as tide had dropped a little and cave ceiling a few inches from nose!. Lunch was on board - quite delicious. We then could swim, kayak to a pretty beach - water was warm and was fun to explore along the island. Set off back to pier around 3- back on bus for trip home at 4 then the hour to Merlin Beach Resort. Drinks at the pool bar and dinner up the hill at the Tiger restaurant. Food ...
... loud explosions of firecrackers coming form a brick oven-like construction. That's another way to make merit, it is supposed to show your gratitude when one of your wishes has been granted. One person stands by to light the firecrackers for you, the big ones are pretty scary but make good photos!
On the side of the temple a dozen of small shops are selling all kinds of souvenirs and tourist stuff... Strangely, the shops ...
... There was however lots of small fish and some clams. Oh yeah, there was also a healthy population of sea lice.
After our snorkel it was time for lunch. As part of the tour we got a lovely Thai buffet. There were noodles, soups, a seafood platter and various curries. All were tasty.
Fed and watered it was time for the journey back to Phuket on the speedboat again. When we got back to shore we hopped of the boat, unfortunately it was ...
