    ... there mosquitoes!!!

    Jakarta is buzzing! Lots of traffic and mopeds weaving in and out of each other with a cacophony of beeping . There are a number of modern highrise buildings mixed with slums which was a stark contrast but it is much more developed than I anticipated.

    We were going to have a siesta and then explore but ended up sleeping until being woken upby midnight building works and 3am torrential rain.

    And here we thought it was going to slow down once we got on the ship. How wrong we were.     ... square appears way less ****** than everywhere else, and to the South (which seems to be business district) it even looks quite nice. Glass building and cleans streets and the like. We don't have time for any of that though and wander on. We hit Jakarta National Museum at 1 min to one, and its closed. However, it's only closed on Friday's from half 11 to 1 (probably related to the prayer thing) so we wait the 60 seconds, check our bag in, collect our free booklet, pay ...
