... up to the deck above. I was praying we weren't about to be served fish as if I so much as saw one I would have instantly spewed. Maybe that's why Rocky's got a black eye, one too many mounds of steaming nonsense for his last tourists. My prayers were answered when he appeared with some toast and gravy flavoured coffee. ... t want to stay in Jakarta for a week as there is nothing to do here, so we ended up having to pay £50 on a flight to Bali for the next day - it worked out ok though as the train was £35 for a 16 hour journey and the flight was only an extra £15 but it was only a two hour flight. Above all I was upset because everyone in the airport walked past and just stared at me like I was a theatre show, no one thought to ask what was wrong or if they could help ...

... it to a beach while in Indonesia but the place we are lucky enough to be staying at feels just like a resort. The thought of having to travel again just for a few hours on the beach when it might just rain the whole time did not sound appealing enough to us in the end.

I got bored fairly quickly with the planning and started to bug Johnny to go to the pool. He wrapped up his application and we set out on the five minute walk to the community pool. ...

... place as the locals don't appear to have seen many white people, we were both like celebrities! Everyone wanted to say hello, ask us questions and take photos. We even had groups of teenage school kids asking us to help them with their projects, I had to draw the line and say no after about the tenth group of giggling teens approached us. It's hard work being in demand! Jakarta is such a huge place that towns ...
