After that awful journey, we changed and got as dry as best we could which was difficult as all our belongings were soaking wet.

These are my neighbours grandchildren. They really brightened up my day when I did all that waiting last week. We just played "lucky seven" and "war" with my deck of cards, but they seemed to really like it, because they kept coming back. Haha.

    Chinese New Year Adventure

... playing with lit cigarette in hand and the 'drummer' was playing a wooden box with his foot jammed into tambourine. Despite the unusual equipment and style the band was very talented. Something which is not lacking in this country. After copious amounts of vodka and orange juices, a lychee cocktail (extremely sweet but beautifully made) and a few watermelon juices to water down the booze we stumbled into bed around one am. The adventurous New Year was over but will not be one that is forgotten. ...
