... went in the ocean while in Spain. Reid, Aaron, Shannon, Lizzy, and I braved the cold and made our way out into the sea, The water was beautiful,as was the beach; and it was such a relaxing day. We picniced, sunbathed, and talked the afternoon away. We also learned on this trip that buying food from the market is a lot cheaper than eating out everyday (this is also something I should probably take back with me to SD). We walked back late in the ...
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain vneag... to communicate. We were able to watch Flamingo dancing at the center in town as there was a special performance that night and the star was a young man who grew up in Cadiz and Loly and her husband have known as a child. After the show we went to lunch with Sergio and Oscar their sons. Oscar is older and speaks a little English and looks just like Jon Vaglio. Crazy. That morning both sons were at a casting call for a movie to be made with Tom ...
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands mamafeathers... set up a little ladder so that the mice could drink the sherry out of a wine glass!

Then we went to the horse show. Very similar to what the Lippanzaner Stallions do. It was…an experience…but I don’t think I’ll ever go watch something like that again. But I can at least say that I've seen it.
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands big_red_truck... the way we stopped in Olvera so Mike could get his photo of the village and church tower. We arrived to Nerja very late and couldn't plug in the address in our handy-dandy gps - so we had to call the owner in the UK to give us directions. it was kind of late by the time we got to the house (after midnight). ugh! this was a long, long day! But, we're excited to be at the beach for the next 7 days. Shae can't wait to get her feet wet in the mediterranean.
Jerez de la Frontera, Andalusia, Spain stacicheck... up as bees, butterflies, doctors and other things. I thought I might have drunk too much, but my friends noticed that too. We tried to overhear some conversations to find out what was going on, but it was hard because of the noise of the ocean. Little did we know that Cadiz was about to transform that night into a giant stage for a festival of I-don't-know-and-I-don't-want-to-know-w hat, with people dressing up, dancing, drinking, smoking and making out in ...

Conil de la Frontera, Spain and Canary Islands felixundtin... slept in the desert, dressed in traditional dress, wore turbans, stayed in a traditional Riad, smoked hookah, abandoned the sketchiest hostal (comparable to Riobamba but surprisingly run by HI), regularly crammed five kids in cars with spots for three, chased down trains, tried herbal remedies from a traditional medicine man, had snakes wrapped around our necks, smelled some of the worst smells ever and survived!!!!!! Now onto Spain! I´m taking over the translating!
Tanger, Morocco sylviaenjeroen... Ticket bought for Ceuta, and an afternoon to spare, we headed to Gibraltar with low expectations but feeling we really should make the effort as we were passing by. Expectations were fulfilled. Got stuck and lost in streets far too narrow for Bronwen, the only place we could park was Safeways (no Morrisons here yet), and the main street is full of cheap electrical goods and booze interspersed with UK high street shops. We did take advantage and stock up on essentials ...
