... we were halted by dense traffic, looked surprisingly well-nourished – we were informed that, for them, begging is a business often, alas, organised by unscrupulous adults.

First went to The Lizard, the most southerly point in mainland England and less well known. Old life boat station from the 1800s and spectacular cliffs.

I cannot believe that in just a few days I will be heading off for my challenge with Homeless International, in Nepal to build better homes. As I stuff all my necessary belongings into my tiny rucksack, it seems crazy to be packing sunscreen whilst a squalling gale rages outside. I have packed my industrial work gloves and protective goggles as I think we are putting some water sanitisation in. Thanks again to all those that gave so generously to Homeless International. I am now in Newquay where i just had my first day of lifeguard training. Doing CPR, rescuing unconscious people and meeting new people again :-) I will try to keep you posted this way with more movies, stories and pictures during our trip in the coming months!
