Today Natalie and I ventured around the city of Dusseldorf, Germany. We had a great nights sleep in our 3 star hotel, (with our own tv!) and down comforters. It was a great re-charging rest from Amsterdam. The city of Dusseldorf is about 2 hours from Amsterdam and is the "richest" city in Germany. The city is located on the Rhine, and we spend the day walking around on cobblestone streets looking in different shops. I bought some earings at a trendy fashion store and ...
Dusseldorf, Germany monnat07... pretty tough for everyone, especially yesterday. I have said goodbye to all of my friends. Tara has left for her host family, Santiago has left to his host family, Trevor went to visit his fiance and son before flying home today. I think that Rafael from Chile might still be around but he is travelling around seeing Karneval all weekend in Düsseldorf and Köln.
I went on Thursday ...
Hello my lovelies!
And a big 'hi' to my cousins Evan and Kristy who have recently decided to be my friends! Yay...
I am currently experiencing a lonely Valentines Day. I am talking to Scott online but it's just not the same...
My classes have pretty much come to an end. We found out how we did in our second exam. I got 20 more points which was a fantastic improvement. If I had have gotten this score initially I would have been in the 2nd top class, so that ...
... who don't have teeth. We decided to give our new invention a name- I thought of 'A job well done' and we all agreed. It didn't taste too bad, but we have got so much left over!! If anyone wants the recipe, let me know
So it took so long to organise and eat our dinner that we missed the tram that we needed to take and got to the ballet 10 minutes late.
It was my first ever ballet. Swan Lake, a classic. However this version was the post modern erotic version. There ...

A couple of my classmates are going to Neuschwanstein this weekend (It'll look amazing with the snow I am sure), and most people are going to Amsterdam. (It's only 2 hours away.) I would have been happy to go to either place, but I have worked out my own independent itinerary because of the fact that I have to go to Lauterbach on Friday ...
... everyone about what had happened to us last night, so Rafael wore a suit, Martin wore a suit jacket and we tried to dress up as best we could to make ourselves presentable. Ironically, there were hundreds of kids, families, school excursions and the like at the Opera, and only a few oldies.
They tried to 'modernise' it a bit, so that it was more like a dream than a reality. The Prince wasn't in a wood, he was in bed and ...

In Düsseldorf there was an Opera shop so we went in there to buy our tickets for La Boheme. There were only 3 left. 3 of us wanted to go. It was perfect. And so cheap! They really look after students here and give them fantastic discounts!
After that I tried my first ever taste of Häagen Daas Icecream which is supposed to be the best in the ...
Hello,
I made it. I survived the hurricane thankfully! The aftermath made my weekend a bit chaotic as all of the trains were cancelled because of trees falling on the tracks and warping the tracks too. That meant that my plans didn't go exactly as planned..... Let me take u back to Thursday night...
The wind was howling, and whistling eerily outside while the trees were swaying frantically in the breeze. 40 students sat in their rooms ...
... sure that I go to my room and then give me a call at the hotel. I have to be there because I am not allowed to go out anywhere. Thanks so much for ur message! It makes me miss u even more!
Don"t worry about my safety. Luckily the hurricane changed direction and will hit the eastern states worse than here.
So I"ll go now. Still cooking dinner and it's 10pm. I will try and leave another blog entry tomorrow if I can to let u know what I get up to.

... Ive already organised to go to Ireland in May (my birthday actually) with Iona, 2 Greek guys and 2 other Aussie girls from Melbourne. The flights weren't bad at €35 for a return flight! For those of you who don't know, I'm living on campus at the university. Ive included a picture map to show my campus and where I am situated. There are 3 blocks, A,B and C. I had the choice to either stay in a single room by myself or in a double with a room mate. I chose the single room ...
