Lugano is a lovely little town on the side of a huge lake. It was a nice place to spend a couple of hours. We walked along the lake side, then got a hot chocolate. It was another wonderful thick 'ciocolatta'.

Back at our hotel we had dinner. It was pasta for entree, chicken schnitzel with potatoes and beans for main course and a lovely little cake for dessert. Tea and coffee ...

... see the first two towns (Riomaggiore and Manarola) and had a great time. I caught up with them as I took off for my afternoon walk around the wall and they were just coming from the train station…they both looked very happy.

... Every now and then there is a little town of brightly coloured houses, a beautiful church or an extravagant villa. I met this cute old ouple from australia on the first ferry and bumped in to them on my last ferry.
