... a day or two south of Buenos Aires. Rain is always possible in the Falklands and the wind in the lower latitudes could make today's winds at home seem like pleasant breezes. ... the valley and over to Half Dome were amazing. After three days in the park you start to run out of superlatives, it is just such an amazingly stunning place. We could actually see the hikers on Half Dome.

... not for the faint hearted. Paul walked down with Sebastian, whilst Gretchen held onto Ewan. Both boys walked down very well but we can't tell you a single thing about the trip down other than the very sweaty hands that develop. Once at the bottom, the immensity of the cave becomes clear. ... this point, decided that we needed to proceed via the scenic route, and took us along what Will described as the wiggliest road he'd ever seen. So rather than the two hours we thought we'd need to get to our destination, it was over three. Nevertheless, we seem to have been allocated the best spot in the 'resort' and for the first time can properly unpack and set up the RV (awnings, covering windows/tyres etc.) as we'll be here four nights.

... managed to extend our hike by two miles by turning up to Clarke Point and not going down past Vernal Falls like they had. When we realised this we were gutted at first, but then were quite proud that we'd managed to do it.
