Despite being full of noisy Indian tourists I saw a few things on the banks of the lake which included; a red mongoose, deer, kingfishers, cormorants and wild boar. There are wild elephants in the park but they are very elusive so we didn't get to see any unfortunately.

... through the backwaters of Kerala, it is supposed to be unbeivalbe in beauty. There is a beach you can swim at around 20km aways too I'd like to check out.
