Set off to get to our next destination and close another circle. John O'Groats to Land's End.
First went to The Lizard, the most southerly point in mainland England and less well known. Old life boat station from the 1800s and spectacular cliffs.

Then to Land's End, the most westerly point on the UK mainland, to close another circle. ...

Lazy day, with late brekkie. Drove with Liz and John via Torpoint and then Millbrook to Maker Heights, when we sat outside to eat lunch overlooking Cawsand - amazing in late November!

Then walked across Mt Edgecombe parkland along an inlet from the sea to Cremyll, when we had a drink in the old pub, the Edgecombe Arms, before walking back; in all, about 3 miles.
Lovely lazy dinner in front of a roaring fire. So good to see our old pals ...

What do they have on a farm called "Goose Slade Farm"? Geese, that screeched ALL night!

We drove to the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton. Devoted to the history of British naval aviation. Great display of aircraft, shipping, a Concorde, and simulated trip in a helicopter then up into the bridge of the the aircraft Carrier "Ark Royal." All brilliantly set out in four enormous hangars, and even I enjoyed it all.

Then set off again and had our LAST ferry ride - ...

I cannot believe that in just a few days I will be heading off for my challenge with Homeless International, in Nepal to build better homes. As I stuff all my necessary belongings into my tiny rucksack, it seems crazy to be packing sunscreen whilst a squalling gale rages outside. I have packed my industrial work gloves and protective goggles as I think we are putting some water sanitisation in. Thanks again to all those that gave so generously to Homeless International. I ...

PORTUGAL - SURF SURF AND GREAT PEOPLE!

... did the course with Dane Reynolds! Well actually his name is Dane Hall but he surfed good enough! it was pretty cool being in the water with him and seeing him RIP. But even more interesting was the footage he took. We assessed it at night and for the first time got a good look on how I can improve arm movements, pump for speed and make more use of the wave. Really helpful tips that will hopefully make me a decent surfer i the near future! —> if you want to check out ...
