I spent a lovely week in Cornwall over Christmas seeing my Mum each day and visiting various towns and villages near the Lizard where I was staying. The harbour at Coverack by night was a magical scene with Christmas lights and decorations illuminating the small fishing boats in the harbour. I also took a couple of walks to my favourite places …

Then walked across Mt Edgecombe parkland along an inlet from the sea to Cremyll, when we had a drink in the old pub, the Edgecombe Arms, before walking back; in all, about 3 miles.
Lovely lazy dinner in front of a roaring fire. So good to see our old pals ...

... ferry across the the Hamoaze, a stretch of water at the mouth of the River Tamar, between Devon and Cornwall.

Took a wrong turn and ended up in very narrow Cornish lane, where we had cars behind us and forced three cars to back backwards uphill so we could pass them.

Arrived at Tregantle cliffs, overlooking Whitsand Bay, to stay with old friends Liz and John, whom we had last seen in February. Great welcome as always, in their lovely windy cottage overlooking the ...
