      ... several festivals throughout the year.  Right passed Platt Fields I walk into Rushholme, otherwise known as The Curry Mile.  This is the most interesting section of my walk to class!  It is a full mile dedicated to residents from the Middle East and other locations.  This is a full mile filled with traditional dress shops, shisha cafes, and food ranging from Afghanistan to India.  The scent of curry is literally in the air, hence the name Curry Mile!  ...

      ... was like something off a boxing match weigh in, with only a 23kg allowance. Would we have to unpack and cause a scene? Bex weighed in a a subtle 21.7kg, Nat's weighed in at a precarious weight of 22.9kg! Phew we were safe for this leg of the journey.       ... places we hadn't been before. As for exciting, let’s leave it there for now. There is so much to experience before we get to these new destinations; some places we have been to (more than once) and some we are not as familiar with so, as normal, several weeks before we set off, the internet took a hammering and research on each port has been thorough; checking out the history, things to do and see, the local transport and the national currency.
