    ... landing in Lyndonville, Vermont, our home for the next three days. The land got more rugged, the trees more bare, and the scenery progressively more stunning. New Hampshire and Vermont are clearly not interested in showing off for me, because we've had generally gray, rainy weather since we left the coast.     The annual fall road trip has begun! Addie and I left Brooklyn yesterday afternoon, heading north into Connecticut to begin our adventures. After a shockingly painless passage out of the City, we soon found ourselves on scenic highway 7, which runs up the western edge of New England all the way to Canada.
