Arrived safely after a great flight from Australia. Traveled business class with Singapore and get 10/10 for service and great food. Transferred to Lufthansa and again good service but beds not as comfortable. First day just wandered around Manchester and got our bearings. Busy place and very industrial. ... they are happy to share the cycling experience with someone who holds them up and complains all the way home ;) I didn't have a chance to take photos today but fortunately my much fitter and faster cyclist did, so you will be able to share some of the sights of today. As I understand it the planned elections on 2nd Feb have been boycotted by the opposition and are unwanted by the protesters who are hoping for a military coup as the majority of the middle class support the current regime and Yingluk will undoubtedly be re-elected.
