      Reflection

A travel blog entry by philji on Dec 22, 2014

Well just under a week to go and time for a little reflection. What makes this place special? It is crowded, noisy and full of scenes of great suffering at times.... but it is also full of a sense of community, people coming together and laughing and crying together, it is full of a sense of freedom where people can come and practice a spiritual path and ...

... Cardiff about 5 years back at Lama Rabsang's. he is living here now and has just completed his M. A. in Buddhist studies and Himalayan Languages here at the Rangjung Yeshe Institute which is attached to the monastery and affiliated to Kathmandu University. ... Swansea from the airport. The heathrow airport was honestly a disappointment after having gone to Chicago - also, where I ended up in after customs was just confusing! It was tiny and had nothing but two cafe shops and currency exchange booths. I followed the signs that said Bus Station and ended up just getting myself lost...lol I just stayed in the "lift" (elevator) going from floor to floor trying to gather information from people who were from ...

      On and on

A travel blog entry by philji on Dec 19, 2014

... the other day with the Russian girl again beginning the practice of Chod. We joined them and today no one had a fit!!!! He also gave us a lovely teaching afterwards explaining how the essence of sutra and tantra come together in the practice, he also spoke about genuine dharma and dharma which is practiced to impress others. He is a really genuine practitioner, very simple and honest. The afternoon saw Jess being successful on buying her blessing box and later ...
