We took a detour for a look at Joyce's new log home they had just built. I think I could settle in here!!!
We then were off again to see a local theatre ...
... past Barbs golf haunts, magic coloured trees, waterways, lakes etc until we finally reached Golden Lake and Greystone Manor.
This very accommodating complex with various themed and sized cottages sat right on the waterfront. Barb and Eleanor had the "Best Western" immaculately dressed up with cowboy theme right down to the serviettes.
We were met by Barbs friend Judy, the manager who saw us settled in.

We took a drive over to Calabogie, a ski resort area and took a hike up to Eagles Nest. The trail took us up an old logging road, but we couldn't find Eagles Nest. So we went back down, saw some other people going up a different trail and finally found Eagles Nest. When we turned around the first time we weren't 50 feet from Eagles Nest! Oh well we needed ...
After a total of 27 hours flying and airport time Puffin and his friends made it to Ottawa, where we were met at the airport by Sandy and Steve waving Canadian and Australian flags. Well, it's been a fun time, with rides & even a local bike event. I've eaten tasty beef-venison burgers & chatted like mad to catch up on all the stories. Tomorrow looks like good weather to start the main trip.
