... acting crew , they sang a few numbers but it was mostly dialogue , some funny bits but got a bit long winded in parts so we left early.
back to the cottages for burgers for T and a couple of reds, Eleanor got an invite to go to the big house for a painting activity and ended up staying for the night.

... very cute and pretty 2 bedroom with wrought iron bed and chenille bedspreads. All cottage have their own deck with BBQ, fireplace etc.
I tried to catch photos of a cheeky black squirrel but was gone by the time I got the camera out.
Barb cranked up the BBQ and we had scrumptious roast beef, jacket potato, broccoli and a glass of red absolutely beautiful.

... the plane. A 1 1/2 drive and we are back in Pembroke enjoying a dinner at the local pub by 7.30ish. Great inexpensive food. Our experience of New York was made so easy by us piggy backing on the trips and experiences of Sandy and Steve. They have really done their homework and so the experience was genuinely fantastic with little time wasted as we concentrated on small areas of the city at a time. We cannot thank them enough. We need to win tatts now so we can come back for a few ...
... the trainee rafters hostel. It was a pigsty. Even Blake said you would of had a heart attack Mum! All the rafters were fairly drunk by this stage and it was hard to have a conversation with them. We were stuck talking to a Kiwi guy who kept telling us how good the water levels were and asking why we weren't rafting the next day... over and over! At this stage Blake and I called it quits and left the others to it and headed to bed.

Well, it's been a fun time, with rides & even a local bike event. I've eaten tasty beef-venison burgers & chatted like mad to catch up on all the stories. Tomorrow looks like good weather to start the main trip.
