    ... park was a Book Tree. Five thick logs, held together vertically with nooks cut in them to hold books. The nooks were covered with clear perspex to keep the weather out. The books were free. The message being: Take a Book - Share a Book - Leave a Book. Loved this idea. We stopped here particularly to try a delicacy - Beavertail's. Yum. Can't believe we would eat the tail of these cute critters, well we didn't! ...

    A sad day as we say goodbye to this amazingly complex City. Could't resist yet another visit to Time Square (it is only 200 metres away from our Hotel). We finally made it to the BIG screen; that is a camera takes your photo if you stand in a certain place in Time Square and a few minutes later there you are - up in lights on the biggest screen you are every likely to be on.     ... the fireplace was. We got a fire going while watching the sun set over the river. We perfected the craft of s'more making on the fire and had a few more drinks, it was good way to spend our last night on the tour.

    Fort Coulonge would be a great place to visit in the middle of summer, it is a shame we didn't have better weather to make the most of what was on offer there.

    Well it's been an interesting couple of days here but we are now sitting in Pembroke and enjoying the wireless at McDonalds tos it out the heat of the day.

    We made it into Parliament Hill with no trouble and met up with Mom Howse, Russ, Kerry, and Ken for some of the obligatory photos (Helen stayed with us be we parted just before we arrived at Parliament). After we said our goodbyes, we hopped back on the path and ...
