Day 1 - at least for us...on the tour
We awoke this morning to see a foggy Ottawa from our hotel room window. It had rained overnight and we were a little worried that it would be raining this morning too. But, after eating breakfast we decided that rain would not be permitted to ruin the morning. We loaded up and headed to the Canadian Aviation Museum for today's ride launch.

Long Day of Driving
... and that is what caused us to have to make the detour! It appears that everyone involved will be ok and we are thanking God that we were not involved! Tonight we are laying low in our hotel and tomorrow we head to Sudbury, ON. Please say a prayer for those involved in the accident today and for the people involved in caring for ...
Saying bye to the Valley
Well, it's been a fun time, with rides & even a local bike event. I've eaten tasty beef-venison burgers & chatted like mad to catch up on all the stories. Tomorrow looks like good weather to start the main trip.

Family
I left the hostel this morning after a friendly chat with an Australian about motorcycling in Oz. He was sadly missing his bike & horrified to find that insurance in Ontario for a possible $3000 bike was going to be $4000. Wow. He assured me I'd find it easier & affordable to buy a bike in Oz to tour around. Something to think about.
Visiting with family now & hope to enjoy some guided rides in the Ottawa Valley.

Km 220, 8 mai
Départ vers 09:00 heures. Il pleut, nous prenons la 40 en direction de Montréal. Cette ville demeure un cauchemar à traverser peu importe l'heure du jour. Pas si mal, l’autoroute Métropolitain n’a qu’un petit bout ou le trafic est au ralentit.
En direction vers Ottawa, tout va bien, nous traversons la ville et arrêtons plus loin sur la 17 à Pembroke dans un Truck ...
