I arrived last night about 9pm and was collected by my cousins Martin and Pierrette, who live quite near. A beer (good one), a chat then bed. I actually slept well. ... If you're wondering, it is Meat + Gravy + Chips + Cheese. Sounds amazing, right? Apparently the secret is to add vanilla to the chips to make them golden brown.
After exploring downtown Montreal I felt it was only pay attention to the high town. The north of the city is overlooked by Mont Royal, which Montreal gets in name from (mont-re-al). If you say Mont Royal in French, you can see why.
... a new camera, I had spent the previous evening comparing models and settled on a Canon SX240 from The Source which is like a Dick Smiths. It was my most expensive camera recently at $300 plus tax although it was on sale. The SX240 is similar to my Lumix being a type of camera called a travellers camera.With a 20x optical zoom and the ability to take HD Video, it also rendered my failing Samsung Video Camera useless as well. Combining 2 into 1 seems like a smarter way to go.
