      ... the Pantheon in Rome with its immense colonnaded edifice and domed ceiling. Since it was the weekend we were unable to take a peek inside but apparently the interior has 32 marble columns and coffered 20m ceiling in Italian renaissance style. The grandeur of this building means it could very easily be mistaken for a city hall or another notable government building rather than a bank. It is very impressive.       I arrived last night about 9pm and was collected by my cousins Martin and Pierrette, who live quite near. A beer (good one), a chat then bed. I actually slept well.
